Diana Fields, LISW | (she/her)
Diana is a licensed independent social worker. She began her educational journey as a layperson coming to her formal education later in life. She earned her associate degree in general studies at Columbus State Community College; going on to get her Bachelors and Masters in social work at The Ohio State University. Her specialty has been mental health since the beginning.
Diana is well versed in addressing complicated life issues including addiction, serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, & generalized anxiety disorder as well as many others. Diana works with individual adults, couples therapy, family therapy, addiction therapy and has experience working with marginalized populations.
Over the years Diana has worked in homeless prevention and has worked addressing physical health issues including chronic pain and the aging process. Diana also worked in both inpatient acute care as well as outpatient services.
Diana has experience working primarily with adults but has spent some time with adolescents as well. She has worked with persons experiencing grief, addiction, trauma/PTSD, Co-dependency, depression, anxiety, interpersonal/relationship issues (including intimate partner violence), and more.
Diana utilizes a variety of counseling modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, and Trauma-Informed Care. She also values incorporating whole-body wellness by considering the client’s physical and spiritual needs in addition to their emotional needs.
Diana’s clients describe her as being insightful, caring, non-judgmental, easy to talk to, a good listener and genuine.
Diana is noted to have devoted herself to her family including two adult sons and her remaining parent, her mother, following the death of her father. She also takes care of a mutually beneficial relationship with her 4-legged family member, her furbaby, named Tulip .
