Location: 620 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215
Chad is a licensed professional counselor. Chad earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Heidelberg University and his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Ohio University. Chad has spent time since his graduation working in community mental health serving and guiding marginalized community members from a diverse client range.
Chad believes in the power and importance of being heard and understood and believes that counseling is not about “fixing” people, but about helping them understand their journeys. Chad believes that in an affirming environment, people grow and naturally become better versions of themselves. Chad views himself as a guide for this process of self-discovery and growth and encourages clients through an eclectic and holistic approach using a variety of techniques and modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and somatic approaches.
Chad has experience supporting clients through their lives and has experience treating clients within the LGBTAIQ+ community, those struggling with substance use, clients dealing with trauma, interpersonal relationships, those dealing with grief and loss, and many others. Chad is passionate about helping those who have been marginalized live a holistic, full, and authentic life.
When outside of the therapy room, Chad invests his time into his family and friends. Chad enjoys reading sci-ti and fantasy, playing video games, going on hikes, spending time with his two ferrets, and getting into the community.
