Our therapists accept most major insurance plans. Our friendly and talented office manager Paula Bearns Keller will help you with appointment scheduling and insurance issues. Clients may also opt to pay for services out-of-pocket. The office accepts all major credit cards and, if necessary, will work with you to design a reasonable payment plan sensitive to your budget.
Typically, appointments are available 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Fridays (please note that each therapist’s schedule is somewhat different). Sessions are relaxed, never hurried. You may also enjoy coffee, tea or cocoa.
We are located at 620 E. Broad St. The building is the second of two large brick buildings directly west of 71 on Broad St. There is parking available in a lot behind the building. To enter, go to the side door (which is along Jefferson Ave.) and walk up the stairs or ride the elevator.
Aside from early morning or late evening appointments, you will be greeted by our friendly office manager – Paula Bearns Keller. She will collect your forms, make copies of your ID and insurance card, and answer any questions you might have. If the office manager is not there to greet you, please have a seat and your therapist will greet you shortly. You may help yourself to water, instant coffee, tea, or hot cocoa while you wait.
When you meet with your therapist for your first appointment or “intake,” she/he will ask about the concerns that led you to seek therapy, your current symptoms and life circumstances, and your personal history. People are often anxious about their first visit with a therapist. This is perfectly normal. All of our therapists strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, and they will respect the boundaries you put up about what you choose to share.
