Andrew Kirsop is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) receiving clinical supervision at Affirmations from Todd Carter, LPCC-S, LICDC. Andrew grew up in Dallas, Texas and went to The University of Texas at Austin for his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. He moved to Ohio both to be closer to family and to complete his Master’s in Counselor Education The Ohio State University. For his internship, Andrew worked at Grant Family Practice in Columbus providing outpatient counseling services for a diverse clientele including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. After graduating in 2020, he began working at Maryhaven’s Addiction Stabilization Center in Columbus as a primary counselor. He has experience working with clients struggling with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, family issues, grief, life transitions, trauma, and substance abuse. Andrew strives to help clients bring harmony between their inner and outer worlds through a safe and supportive therapeutic process. He works to stay informed of evidence-based best practices and employ whenever applicable.
